You may find that the company has switched gears, no longer hosts surveys, and plays another role. Please let us know if you find any of those, and they will be taken out.

Read each company's rules regarding sign-ups. Some only perform local focus groups and may provide a list of zip codes they hire from. Someone living a thousand miles away has no business signing up looking to "cash in." Plenty of firms that host focus groups do other research that require a large pool to select from. You'll be more than welcome with those firms.

In all fairness, reward amounts have been left out (booo, hisssss, go ahead, it's alright). It's very tempting to sign up for the companies that state the highest and most tempting rewards. It would also be very misleading, and we're not going there.

Just because you signed up for all the "best-paying surveys" doesn't mean you can sit back and wait to make a few hundred dollars every single day taking free surveys for cash. In your pajamas. On the couch. Watching TV.

It just doesn't work that way, and that's not what this site or these surveys are all about. There's plenty of money to be made taking surveys, it's just not a mindless, background, autonomous activity that's going to enable you to quit your regular day job next week.

(Of course you can wear pajamas while taking surveys, and have the TV on in the background, and the couch is as good as any place to take surveys. That's not the point.)

These pages are NOT a complete picture of every single research company out there, but hopefully a decent enough preview of some of these work from home opportunities that you can make up your own mind.

Read each company's "Terms of Use" and "Privacy Policy." Sometimes they'll change their policies. At the end of the day, it's up to YOU to know what you're signing up for. And that's pretty much why we've opted NOT to try and keep up with more than a thousand of these firms in that regard. In the past year alone, several companies have phased out, merged, been absorbed by other research companies, re-branded, etc. Hope you understand.

Legitimate Survey Research Companies Will:

Have contact information on their website, and a representative available to answer questions/concerns.

Limit the number of surveys you can take

Ask participants to answer screening questions to see if they meet demographic requirements needed for their research sample.

Value the time you take to complete a survey by offering modest incentives and “thank yous” such as sweepstakes entries, coupons or a nominal monetary reward. Remember, if the incentive seems too good to be true - it probably is.

Generally affiliate themselves with a trade group. (Most associations require members to meet certain ethical standards)

Have accessible terms and conditions and a privacy policy

Honor your request to discontinue sending e-mail invitations for surveys or to remove you from their online research panel

Legitimate Companies Won’t:

Request credit card or bank account information or your Social Security number

Try to sell or promote a product

Request payment for anything

Try to recruit you with a one-question survey (e.g., “What’s your favorite color?”) in a pop-up ad or unsolicited e-mail

Contact or seek personal information from any child under the age of 13 without a parent’s prior, verifiable consent

Are ready to dive in to all the gpt or "get paid to take surveys" opportunities?

Did you read the Get Started pages? Do you have your alternate e-mail setup? Spyware installed? Form-filler formatted? Flux-capacitor fluxing?

If you're still a little wary of the whole paid surveys online thing, it's completely understandable.

Check out some of the surveys to the right. Most are time-tested, heavily supported players in the industry, and have nothing to gain by defrauding you and starting a blogging war. They should put some surveys in your inbox within a day or so of signing-up. Which means you can start to make money and earn extra income TODAY!

If you don't like the whole free surveys for money thing after a few months (that's how long it's going to take - read this), you can always unsubscribe and be done with it. Or delete your alternate email account (that's why you set one up!) No harm No foul.
