 It
was actually searching for something else that jogged a memory...
"Answer some questions for the man, and he said he'll pay
you..." So I did. And I got a brand-new toy out of the deal.
Years later, outside the mall, I was invited to a focus
group that paid $50 or something for a half-hour of answering questions
about some new product. It was the easiest $50 I had ever made up to that
point.
Years and years later, a phone recruiter called from a very
well-known polling company, and offered to send $15 CASH in the mail (yes,
c-a-s-h in an envelope, delivered to my U.S.P.S. address!) if I
would log-on to a website and take a 30 minute survey. And three days
later there was an envelope in the mailbox with three crisp five-dollar
bills. And the survey took twenty minutes. Too cool! And then I started poking
around and doing some researach.
This
site is for all the people that know paid market research is legitimate, are
tired of sifting through the sheer tonnage of repeat information available
on the topic, and want a reliable source of paid market research surveys information.
Period.
No "automatic registrations" with every button set to "yes, sign me
up!" No ramming our Top 10, 20 or 50 affiliates down your throat and showing
you nothing else. No emailing you every other day with new offers. Just a
free list that you can bookmark, and pick and choose what survey companies
YOU want to sign up for. Not the ones someone TELLS you to.
 All this information for free, because ultimately, it should be free. Our motivation
is not money or to collect your information, as none is asked for and none
is collected (we don't use the sub-id on our links).
Donations are accepted (via PayPal), and honestly, without a shred of guilt.
Managing this amount of information for free, is not actually free.
If you've
ever had some time on your hands though, done any research on "getting
paid for your opinions" and seen all the "information" out there, maybe you'll understand why this site exists and
functions the way it does.
There are a few other good sites out there, who do the same thing we do.
Other than those precious few, there are too many others that seem to be
somewhat lacking, in many regards concerning "taking online surveys for money."
Others still that knowingly duplicate a lot of links, don't take down their
broken links, blow a lot of sunshine you-know-where, and just basically don't
make the grade as far as TRULY representing this industry. It can be very frustrating
and time consuming when you're serious about making some
extra money because you need to.
 The ultimate goal here (besides
venting our honest
and unbiased opinion about this much advertised, hyped, debated and written about topic), was to maintain (easier
said than done, with this many surveys, it's a monster!) and publish the largest, free-access, most comprehensive, up-to-date directory of
legitimate paid
opinion surveys and consumer research opportunities available.

surveys. Tips and tools and legitimate strategy and some previews of what to
expect when you start signing up. From a real surveys taker. We don't ask
anything from you, other than you actually use this site, tell your friends
about it, adhere to the
professional respondent guidelines stated herein, and report any outdated or
manky links.

listed in the general directory that don't always work when you visit. We're in
the process of trying to identify the surveys that are "on again, off again." If
after an extended period of time, they don't appear "on again," we'll probably
sub-categorize them and remove them from the "official" count.
